Tuesday 2nd June

A big hello to you all. I hope you are all well on this fine day. I have heard that the weather is due to change, so make the most of the sunshine while you can. We are certainly lucky to have our extensive school grounds in this weather, and it has been wonderful to see our children of critical workers playing outside in their bubbles (remember those magical bubbles I told you about? They are not actually in a bubble, as fun as that may sound).

As you already know, we have been asked to open our school to more of our lovely children (nursery, reception, year one and year six) and, due to coronavirus, we have had to make some changes around the school. Just yesterday I told you about the tape on the car park, and your parents will have been reading lots of information on our website about the changes - they may even have discussed some of these changes with you. This morning we asked some of the children who returned to school yesterday what it was like, and I thought it would be good idea to share these responses with you below. Remember, if you have any questions about returning to school and what it will be like, please email us at children@olive.dudley.sch.uk.

Stay safe everyone, we miss you.

I had fun and I really enjoyed my time in school with Miss Thacker and Miss Homer. It was just what I expected. The tables were seperated and we had to wash our hands all the time.
