Monday 30th March

Hello everyone. I hope you had a lovely weekend and remembered to change your clocks?

Do any of you have a pet? Or pets? I know that when I talk to some children it almost sounds like they have a zoo in their house! I don’t have any pets in my house. I did have a cat called George, but he went on holiday to my mum and dad and he liked it there so much, he never came back. George is the cat in the blog picture - he is sitting in my mum’s knitting box. Do your pets do strange things? There are a few children at Olive Hill with chickens, they do sound like very entertaining pets. KFC and Melon are two of the chickens I hear a lot about.

Are your pets enjoying having you at home? I bet they are as they will be getting lots of extra cuddles and attention. Many of the staff at Olive Hill have pets. Can you use the clues below to match the picture of the pet to their owner?

1) Spartan belongs to Miss Best, he likes to sleep on the sofa and especially likes it when he can put his head on a cushion.

2) Mrs Birch’s pet has been supporting the rainbow of hope theme.

3) Mojo belongs to Miss Richardson, he likes to perch on the outside of his cage.

4) Teddy looks just like a teddy and belongs to Mrs Waters.

5) Miss Homer’s pet, Missy, likes to snuggle in a blanket.

6) Miss Thacker has a cat - Olive - she likes to bob her tongue out.

7) Mrs Shinner’s dog is called Millie. Millie thinks she is the most important person in the house. I think she is very cute and fluffy.

8) Hugo is Mrs Hamblett’s dog, he really likes to pose for a photograph and looks straight into the camera.

9) Mrs Mariott’s dog could star in a film with 101 in the title.

10) Miss Raphael has two cats, Kenny and Dolly.

11) Mrs Higgin’s has white and orange pets.

12) Mrs Fawke’s dogs look like they are in control of the television.

13) Miss Lee has a shy cat.

14) Archie belongs to Miss Jenkins. He likes to be out in the sunshine but don’t try to steal his toy.

15) Mr Priest has a cat with a teacher like stare.

16) Star belongs to Mrs Sheasby. She likes to lay on the sofa - I hope she keeps her claws in.

17) This dog has a pleading look on his face - I think he asking his owner, Mrs White, for a treat.

18) We already know that Mrs Waldron’s son has tried adding to his pet collection (the frog and the worm from last week), but these two have fur. Luna likes to wear a bow tie and Rolls likes to roll around in the flowers.

19) Daisy belongs to Mrs Copson. She stores food in her cheeks.

20) Mr Brady loves Star Wars and so does his cat.

21) Mrs Dudley has two dogs. Millie likes to lay on the floor and Skye (who is apparently very grumpy) likes to sleep on the sofa. You will find separate pictures of them.

22) Mrs Aziz’s cat could be a very cute pirate.

23) Lexy belongs to Mrs Davies. She has lots of fur and long whiskers.

24) Mrs Carpenter’s cat is very inquisitive, she is certainly curious about the camera.
