Friday 21st March

Happy Friday

It’s been another busy and exciting week at school! We had the pleasure of welcoming parents into school for Parents’ Evening on Wednesday and Thursday. It’s always wonderful to share and celebrate the children’s hard work with you. For those with appointments next week, we look forward to seeing you on Wednesday for KS2 and Thursday for EYFS and KS1.

Across the school, there has been a strong focus on design and technology this week. Year six started the week by making delicious flatbread, filling the staffroom with the most amazing smell. Year five have been busy this afternoon, sewing their scarves with great concentration and creativity. Meanwhile, Year 1 have been bringing in shoeboxes over the past week— we can’t wait to see what exciting projects they will be creating with them!

Today was Red Nose Day, and it was fantastic to see the children as a sea of red in assembly this morning! A huge thank you for all your donations—every contribution goes towards a great cause, and we truly appreciate your generosity.

Year four had an exciting day at Conkers, where they built their teamwork skills through a bushcraft workshop. They used their communication skills to build dens and even had the chance to roast marshmallows! They also encouraged each other through an activity trail, demonstrating fantastic team spirit. They arrived back at school full of stories from their adventures—and I think it’s safe to say they were all quite tired!

Have a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing you all on Monday morning.
