Friday 20th November
Happy Friday!
We hope that all of our families who celebrated Diwali last weekend had an enjoyable time despite the current circumstances. I certainly heard a lot of fireworks on the Saturday evening. Many celebrations this year have needed to be on a smaller scale, often with just the people who live in our household. This has meant spending less time with the people who are really important to us. I do hope that we will soon be able to meet with our family and friends.
COVID-19 cases are continuing to soar in Dudley, and now the borough has the highest figure in the West Midlands. Residents are being urged to follow the national lockdown rules. We can all do our part to support our community at this time. We really want to protect the education of our children. Please adhere to the following expectations:
Wear a mask when you come onto the school grounds;
Use our one way system;
Keep your distance from others;
Leave the school once you have dropped-off/collected your child;
Arrive on time;
Only one adult per family;
If a primary or secondary child has been requested to self-isolate by their school, don’t bring them onto the school site. It is important that they do not come into contact with anyone outside of their own household.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised over £600 for Children in Need. Talking of generosity, we have had some wonderful gestures recently from our community - we have had people pay for a Christmas meal for another child and, following our recent year three bubble closure, some of the families entitled to a FSM hamper have asked us to donate it to a family in more need. If you are struggling to support your family during the Covid19 pandemic, then please contact the school office. We know that this time has been incredibly difficult for some, especially where once secure jobs have been lost. We are all in this together and it is important that we support each other.
We are looking forward to welcoming our year three children back on Monday. We have missed you all.
Please make sure you have viewed our virtual school tour. We are really proud of it.
Wishing you all a fabulous weekend.
Stay safe
