Happy Friday!

We have made it to the end of the term! And what a term it has been. We have achieved so much this term and the children have made us all smile every day.

The last two days of the term have been filled with celebrations. Yesterday was our annual Christmas lunch and it was the most successful one to date. We learnt from the changes made due to Covid19 that trying to rush all of the children through the hall in a short space of time didn’t allow them to properly enjoy their meal with their friends and school adults. So, this year, just like the last, the children ate in their classrooms. Classrooms were decorated, Christmas jumpers were worn, sprouts were eaten (by some) and the music played. A huge thank you to the kitchen staff who served a beautiful meal to nearly the whole school! That is a lot of cooking! Nobody went without and Mr Weston even had a second meal!

Today we ended the term with a bit of fancy dress. It was awesome seeing all of the different costumes. We had lots of Disney princesses; quite a few witches and wizards; a number of muggles; an array of superheroes; gingerbread men; Peter Pan; Robin Hood; Little Red Riding Hood; elves; Woody and Buzz; a donkey and a bear; a formula one driver; Prince Charming and many more. The staff had been planning their outfits for a while. Did anyone spot the theme in each phase? Take a look at some of the outfits below:

I must now end the final blog of 2021. Thank you to our wonderful community for the support you have shown us. Thank you to the amazing staff who are dedicated to providing the children with the best experience of school. Thank you to the children for simply being your unique selves - you bring us so much joy and pride. The children will return to school on Wednesday 5th January. Given the situation, if there are any changes to the current guidance we will communicate this with you.

Have a fabulous Christmas and best wishes for the new year.

We look forward to seeing you all in 2022.

Stay safe.
