Saturday 17th December

Happy Saturday!

Yes, that’s right, a happy Saturday, rather than a Friday. It was such a busy day yesterday, and out of routine without the children. We hope you have all had a good start to the festive holidays.

Yesterday, we had a training day in school. All teachers and teaching staff were intensely involved with learning regarding our second OFSTED target from January 2022. We had lots of chocolate to keep us going!

Hopefully, all parents and carers will have received our end of term letter via ParentMail. It is important that all your details are kept up-to-date on our system, so if Santa brings a new phone for any grown-ups, please let the office know the new number on the first day back.

The last few days of school were full of excitement. This is a wonderful time of year to spend with children as they get swept up in the traditions of Christmas. Most of the staff have now eaten two Christmas dinners, with Mr Patel having had three! Miss Walters has had her fill of sprouts for the year - she has eaten two!

This is only a short blog, as you will have received lots of information in the end of term letter, and I am writing this before setting off to Wales to spend lots of time with my lovely family. When creating lasting memories with your loved ones, do consider that it is the small things that last the longest in their minds, children won’t remember the expensive gifts in years to come but they will remember the funny moments and the quality time spent together.

On behalf of all the staff, we wish our community a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing you all in 2023!

The children return to school on Tuesday 3rd January 2023.
